Summary: Wow! I Found It Again! 2010-05-04
Comment:

Last season, I bought one of these at a local department store, along with some trunks and a sporty black with bright green trim tankini top - you know, support-engineered tankini top that came over the top of the skirt just a little, but when moving around, the top of this skirt was *cute*, not an embarrassment.

I also had some shorts that I could wear if the skirt didn't 'work' in the water, but that wasn't a problem.

The resulting 'swim suit' was THE MOST COMFORTABLE SUIT THAT I'VE WORN IN YEARS - MAYBE EVER!!!

It covered up the stretch marks on my hips in a sporty style (love them kids anyway....*grin*).

I kept up with my children without a swim skirt dripping and slapping around everywhere.

It wasn't horrifying to think of doing handstands in the pool with my daughter (though I did have her standing a little 'uphill' in the more shallow section than me by a little bit ....).

When jumping into the water, the skirt slipped around a little, but it didn't retain an air bubble like most swim skirts, nor did it drag around after me!!! THAT was nice!!!

When I stepped out of the pool, the skirt slipped right in place (well, sometimes it would twist around while playing with my children, so I'd straighten it out a little just before pulling up on the side of the pool or before climbing up the ladder).

Each time I got out of the pool, it sloshed water ****off****, dripped like boy's swim trunks (even less I think), didn't hug my hips for any *real* time while drying out, etc., etc., etc., !!!!!

It was fabulous!!!

The other ladies my age and older were all quite jealous... *grin* It took them a while to get up the nerve to ask ****where**** I found my swimsuit (though I was hoping they'd ask - this is a ***fabulous*** alternative, and I'm happy to share the news with anyone!!).

When one of the ladies there finally asked where I found my suit, they ALL listened intently!!! The jealous but encouraged murmurs were fun to behold!!!

The same swim skirts aren't there this year......... BUT.........

Now I can point people here!

AND WHAT'S BETTER? NOW THAT I'VE LOST ENOUGH WEIGHT TO GO DOWN A SIZE OR TWO, I DON'T HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO ALTER MY SKIRT - I CAN PASS IT ON TO SOMEONE ELSE, AND GET ONE THAT FITS THE NEW ME!!!

While shopping online this year, I got to thinking: If I'm going to be in a crowd where I want to wear swim pants, this skirt will go fine over them as well. Maybe not my husband's cup of tea, but my children won't mind if I'm just with them. I'm even considering purchasing a swim-T this time around.

I'll find something else to go with the skirt for time with my hubby, but buy something sporty and more modest for a crowd.

WOOHOO!!!
