Coolibar UPF 50+ Women's Ruche Swim Shirt

I purchased the capri tights and swim shirt for a cruise to the U. S. Virgin Islands. I am 62 years old and no longer have the kind of body where I want to flaunt it in a swimsuit at the pool or on the beach, but I love to swim. Furthermore, I now worry about the effects of too much sun on my skin. My husband has already had basal cell carcinoma. When you are a kid, you don't think about those things, but skin starts to break down as you get older and you really have to take care of it. I hated not being able to go swimming on a cruise like this though. So when I found Coolibar and this lovely swim shirt, I was thrilled. I can have my sun and surf and swim in it too! The tights and swim shirt are flattering, and they cover my figure imperfections. One thing, though, there is no built in bra with the swim shirt like there would be with a swim suit. I am middle-aged and haven't worn a swim suit for a long time because they are too revealing for my taste and I am very prone to sunburn. So when we booked a cruise I was in a quandry. I bought a sun hat and with it came a Coolibar catalog full of sun-protective swimwear! I had never heard of a rashguard (Australian surfer shirt) and had no idea these products existed.

I bought the long black swim tights and this tunic. it is LOVELY! It is long enough to fall to mid-thigh so it covers my behind and thighs. I am 5'8" tall and I bought according to bust size - it is a perfect fit up and down.

There is no bust support in these rash guards - wear your choice of quick-dry sports bra. I like that too - swim suits often have really funky bras. This could also be worn over a swim suit as a long, sun-protective cover up, but I wear it as a swim suit.

Got for beach vacation and wore everyday w/ no need for body sunscreen. When wet, keeps you cool in really hot weather. Also felt looked cute with sides cinched up and didn't miss all the expose skin at all! Getting full body rash guards for kids next yr too!
